Transformers: The Game

My first published title Transformers: The Game was realeased in june 07.

For the first month I made several vehicles for the general traffic in the game while I learnt Maya and the companys shaders. The main car body shader was a fairly complex affair so that the colour and specular layer could be affected by code, creating random coloured traffic and the ability to get dirty during play.

I also created alot of “PO’s” (physical objects that could be thrown around and used as weapons by the transformers), and was in charge of implementing the art side of the In game advertising. This is an example of a phone I created for the Helios company, they provided the CAD version and I made the in-game normal mapped and textured version (360 version and Ps2 in bottom right screenshot from Maya)

The main body of my work on this project was to up-res 2 levels worth (quatar and airbase) of assets (buildings, PO’s etc) from ps2 to 360 and Ps3, beefing up the polycount, giving the damage sections thickness, repainting maps and adding specular and normalmaps) here are two images from the 360 version of Airbase.
